stripes on stripes

top: unlabeled. infiniti scarf: unlabeled. bag: michael kors. boots: fryes. watch: bulova (gift). bracelets: pearl (gift), h&m.

there is nothing easier than putting together a striped top, leggings, and boots on a cool day in san diego for a mom like me in a hurry! a few arm party blings help to add a little sparkle to the day. i just have to say, i love this watch that my mom gave me for Christmas the year before last!

what are your favorite go-to pieces of clothing?

love: handbags

just like any other woman, i love handbags. lately, i've been checking out vivienne westwood's collection. every woman should have a classic black purse that they can pair with anything, just like the "classic orb black" bag found here. i also love a fun versatile bag and the "classic orb bag music" is gorgeous with its splashes of coral! i love that it has a long strap that can be put across the shoulder when traveling or just around town.

and i do love the color red! the chancery red purse found here is perfect for daily use or for that romantic night out with your love!

what have you been "lusting" over recently? xo

i've been away for almost a year. what's happened you ask? well, i was pregnant and i'm now a full-time mom to a beautiful daughter and wife to a loving supportive husband. what else could a woman ask for? being a full time mom is the hardest thing i have ever done, but it's also the most amazing and "so worth it" experience! there is nothing that can compare or words that can fully express how much i enjoy seeing my daughter smile, laugh, or just being able to spend time with her. it can be overwhelming, but her smiles/laughs make the worries go away. but i've also realized that i need to get back into blogging as a way to do something fun and therapeutic. the pictures above were during my pregnancy...

of course, i have to talk about the middle pictures in the collage above. the bouquet of "flowers" were made by one of my best friends, the diaper cake by my sister, and the last two pictures are "feet" pictures of my daughter. the yummy cupcakes above were made by one of my wonderful old friends for our baby shower. we are so blessed/lucky to have family and friends who put our baby shower together and are so supportive.

what exciting things have you all been up to? xx
