much of what we wear or want to wear are based on feelings and how they make us feel. when we look at ourselves in the mirror while trying on dresses or what not, buying that piece is based on how we feel in it. if we feel good in it, then we look good in it. if we don't feel good in it, then we think that we don't look good in it. it's our perception. and that's ok because we have to feel good in what we wear. and then there's the perception of others about what we're wearing, which could be very different from ours...but that's another topic for later, because what really matters is our own perception. right? or is it?

for me, color is a huge factor in determining whether i like something or not. for example, i love the color red so our front door is red. for me, it's such an attractive color that it enlivens me to go inside. it's an inviting first impression of our house...but i digress. as for my outfit. mint is still my favorite color this season and love the soft ruffly texture of this top! it's simple, refreshing, calming... AND it looks good on my skin tone! a big plus! it's like white, but in color. what's your go-to color this season?

tgif! i wore this on a breezy cloudy day in san diego this week. i love how this blouse loosely fits and again, i've chosen to wear something easy and comfortable! 

one of my very best friends is coming for a visit this weekend and i'm excited to see her! i've known her since junior high so we go WAY back! she's one of those friends who you can pick up where you left off even when you haven't talked in a long time! when you're lucky enough to have at least one of these friends like i am, keep them close to you. they are a treasure! we both share a love for fashion so it will be fun to take a few photos with her!  enjoy your weekend friends and thanks for reading! xxx

happy wednesday! this is what i wore last night when my husband and i went to the hollywood bowl to watch COLDPLAY in concert! i have to say, we enjoyed this a bit more than the first time we saw them. not only because we were celebrating our anniversary, but because the hollywood bowl is just the.best.venue.ever!!! it's a gorgeous amphitheater tucked in hollywood with huge trees all around. being inside is an escape from the hustle and bustle of los angeles. one of the great parts of the night was when coldplay played one of their songs immediately behind us!!!! they are so good live!

happy monday! it's a wonderful monday as my husband and i celebrate our anniversary today!!! it's amazing to be married to my soul mate, love of my life, best friend...in essence, my partner in crime! i am forever blessed to be married to him. i must take this time to thank him for his love and support and for taking my wonderful outfit post pictures! so, here are just a couple of my favorite snap shots from our special day. i loved my bouquet and my wedding dress was perfect, especially the details! 

as for my outfit, i last wore this pink top here. i enjoyed pairing it with this lace skirt for a party at my husband's work. it was very comfortable and easy to wear on a beautiful spring day! xo

in a previous post, i talked about spring cleaning (here) and i decided to take my own advice. so, i've cleaned out of my closet, donated a lot and sold a few things, and now, i wanna share with you a few of my current spring finds and things i'm giving a new life. you've seen them in a few posts, but i can't wait to pair them with other things in my closet!!!

happy monday! i hope everyone had a great weekend! my mom and brother were in town, and it was nice to spend time, watch a home movie, and have sunday brunch with them at our favorite local cafe. on saturday, my husband and i even had a chance to get a facial (husband was surprised with the facial) and spend time together while my mom and brother watched the baby. grandparents are the best!!!

happy tuesday! as a new mom, i've been trying to put easy outfits together that work with my style, but are also functional for my "mommy duties". i've been wearing this lace striped top a lot recently (with tank top underneath), and i'm enjoying my new favorite tory burch sandal! i love that they feel like they're not even there! what's your favorite footwear or footwears (let's face it, it's easy to "love a lot" of shoes at one time!) for the spring/summer season?

there is nothing easier than putting together a striped top, leggings, and boots on a cool day in san diego for a mom like me in a hurry! a few arm party blings help to add a little sparkle to the day. i just have to say, i love this watch that my mom gave me for Christmas the year before last!
